Mum looking for a live-out part time nanny for 4 charges (8 year old boy, 6 year old twin boys & 3 year old boy). Duties are to pick them up from school, help with their homework, reading, feeding and potty training one of the boys.

Part Time Housekeeper/ Shared Care Nanny

Busy family are looking for a housekeeper/ shared care nanny to assist them with the upkeep of their home and help out with their two children.

The family have two children boy 5 and girl 7 years.

Days and hours required Monday: 3pm-7PM  Tuesday:  1pm-7pm Wednesday:1pm-7pm Friday1pm-7pm (22 hours in total)

Duties required for the position are: Cooking for the children and if happy to also cook family meals this would be an advantage.

Taking care of all aspects of the home, bed changes, laundry, ironing, keeping kitchen tidy,  washing/putting away dishes, tiding toys away, dusting etc.

Childcare duties will include, helping with homework, occasionally collecting from school, reading to them playing games and doing arts and crafts. 

The family are looking for someone who's energetic, happy to help out with the children so previous childcare experience is essential, bubbly, someone who wants to work around the house getting on with the tasks and must be happy to work around mum as she works from home.

 The family also employ a part time cleaner two mornings per week but this may change in the future if you're happy to take on extra work.

Start date end of June 2017.

First Aid Courses

We are pleased to announce Mum's the Word East London Branch is working in Partnership with Keri, a local First Aid Trainer to offer First Aid Courses to any Childcare professional or parent wishing to up date their First Aid Certificates.

Courses on Offer:  

12 Hour Paediatric First Aid Course - £90 per person  

This paediatric first aid course is for childcare professionals and nannies who wish to register with Ofsted. It is delivered over 12 hours and covers all the requirements of the EYFS. The learners’ knowledge is assessed throughout the course. With the changes in first aid following the death of a small baby everyone with a child care qualification will need first aid training, why not beat the rush. The paediatric first aid course costs £90 per person. Discounts will be applied for groups of 6 or more. All candidates will receive a certificate and manual. This course meets the requirements of Ofsted for the Voluntary register.

Blended Paediatric First Aid Course - £80 per person

We’re pleased to announce that we are now able to offer the paediatric first aid course as a blended option. This entails 6 hours online first aid and 6 hours in the classroom. It meets all the requirements for Ofsted registration.  

Family First Aid Class (4 or more) - £35 per person (discounts may apply for larger groups)  

Research shows the accidents in the home are the biggest risk to children under 5. This baby first aid course is for new and prospective parents. It covers all the basics of first aid that is needed to equip you with the knowledge to deal with an emergency in the home. It lasts 2 – 2.5 hours and can be delivered in the home to small groups of parents (4 or more). It costs £35 per person. All candidates will receive a certificate and manual.

Live In Nanny

Lovely first time parents are seeking a caring individual to look after the growth and development of their son and help them to nurture him through these early life stages
Their little boy entered the world in May this year and mum currently has a maternity nanny to support them and are all in a great routine all ready.
Mum and Dad are both French born and are brining up thier son to be Bilingual so excellent written and spoken English is imporatnt to them.
They would like you to start with them in Sepetmber when the baby will be 4 months, so the nanny is required to have had previous weaning experince, knowledge of each relevant stage of child devlopment and confident to guide the parents as they are also learning as they go along!
The family are very easy going and down to earth, they are following The Tracy Hogg routine (secrets of the baby wisperer) so knowlade of that would be ideal but not essentail.
Your duties will include:
Physical care of the child
Supporting and providing activities for the holistic development ,including morning and afternoon activities and helping to establish routines to develop good sleeping habits.
• Communicating with parents on all aspects of the care of their child •
.Completing nanny documentation, through pictures, videos and notebook, in order to keep the parents informed and share ideas about the child’s care, wellbeing and development •
Providing well balanced and nutritious meals appropriate to the needs of the child, home cooking welcome!
•Taking the child to playgroup / nursery / school •
•Attending groups such as nursery rhymes in the library and other play groups; researching and suggesting other groups that the Nanny thinks would be good
• Suggesting ideas and preparing for special occasions such as birthday parties
• Caring for the child when he is unwell and administering medicine(s) •
Travelling with the child and preparing for holidays, weekend visits, etc.
• Cleaning and tidying the nursery, bedroom, playroom and other areas agreed with the parents •
Cleaning / laundry of the children’s clothes and toys
• Responsibility for cleaning and maintaining household equipment relating to the care of the children ( family have a cleaner) •

Days Monday - Friday 2.30-6 pm or 2-6pm Term time and 9-6 holidays

You will be required to do the school pick ups and take to various after school clubs.

Both children do various after school activities so you must be happy to be busy running them around!

Duties will also include cooking for the children, maintaining the children's bedrooms schedule playdates so be able to liaise with school friends parents.

Laundry for the children and overseeing homework.

Part Time Daily Nanny

Lovely rewarding new position supporting a family of three in west Hampstead.
The family are looking for a loving, caring, honest, happy nanny to help them with their three children.
You would be needed Monday to Friday from 12pm-6.30.
Your role would be to collect the youngest child (girl aged 3) from nursery then take her home play with her and take her to any of her activities.
The eldest child is 9 she returns home on a bus, she will need extra support due to her being in a wheel chair, she needs help with feeding and help getting around in general.
She is a very happy girl who is lots of fun to be with, the family have requested someone with a “big heart” that is happy to care for her and her sister.
The other child is a boy aged 6 mum collects him from school and takes him to afterschool clubs so would be in and out whilst you were there.
The family would like someone who is happy to help out with light housework such keeping the kitchen tidy, living area clean but they do employ a cleaner.
Salary £392 gross per week.
