Our lovely returning clients in Central Sevenoaks with one delightful boy aged 21 months and another baby boy arriving in January are looking for a friendly long-term Nanny from early January.

  • Nanny
  • 40 hours per week, increasing to 50 hours later next year
  • early January start but flexible for the right candidate
  • £12 – £14 gross per hour
  • Mostly shared care until later in the year



From January; Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, possibly 8/9am – 5/6pm but the exact start and finish times can be flexible and discussed with the right candidate.

Later on in the year, when mum returns to work from maternity leave (possibly late October but TBC); 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 50 hours per week, 8am – 6pm.


£12 – £14 gross per hour, depending on the candidate, plus pension.


Nanny caring for two children, with nursery duties (eg cooking and online food shopping for children, children’s laundry, keeping toys, play area and children’s bedrooms clean and tidy, help with sourcing toys/clothes/etc for children when necessary, any other child-related tasks). Once the older child starts reception (2-3 mornings from Sept 2021), school runs will be required to a close-by school.

While mum is on maternity leave (which is currently expected to be until around late October (to be confirmed as this could be sooner or a little later), duties will be nursery duties as described above, plus caring for the children alongside mum (sometimes together, sometimes one child each).  Mum will be around most of the time but would sometimes like nanny to take both children (so that she can have a quick nap, shower or a workout). In addition, during the maternity leave, while mum is with both children, duties would include some light housekeeping such as vacuuming high use areas, keeping kitchen clean, and emptying dishwasher (but not cleaning bathrooms or parents bedroom etc as the family has a regular weekly cleaner), laundry (but not ironing), occasional cooking, ad hoc errands etc.

As with many families, dad has been working from home during the pandemic (and that is likely to continue some time into next year) and would be interacting with his children on breaks etc if they are at home at the time.


Their eldest son will start in Reception (2-3 mornings a week) next September.

The family are looking for someone who is happy to work alongside the parents with shared authority and responsibility, working as a team. They would like this to be a long-term arrangement with the nanny becoming a part of their family.

There may be occasions especially whilst mum is on maternity leave when you will be given a morning or afternoon off (paid) and, in return, would like nanny to have a can-do attitude, to take initiative, and have a level of flexibility.

Dad will take 2 weeks paternity leave once the new baby arrives and will then return to working from home.

A candidate fairly local to Sevenoaks would be an advantage.

The family have no pets.

You will need to be a driver with a clean licence and there is a VW Golf automatic car available for nanny’s use.

The family are looking for someone who would not need to bring their own child.
