Kent
Start: 9th April
Days: Thursday & Friday
Child: One boy, 16 months
Live‑out
Driver required
A welcoming family in Hever, Kent are seeking an experienced, confident and engaging nanny to care for their 16‑month‑old son on Thursdays and Fridays. The family already have a nanny covering Monday–Wednesday, and with Dad returning to full‑time work, they are looking for someone to complete the week.
About the Child
He is a happy, healthy toddler who sleeps well and enjoys an active day. He loves being outdoors, splashing in puddles, exploring the garden and playing on the swings and slide. He attends local classes such as music and rhyme time, and the family would love his nanny to continue taking him to activities, the library and outings. Swimming trips are also an option.
He currently follows a structured routine for meals and naps, though the family are comfortable relaxing this with the right nanny’s guidance. He is curious, busy and particularly fascinated by cupboards and anything he can investigate around the home.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, nurturing care throughout the day
- Supporting his development through play, exploration and age‑appropriate learning
- Preparing meals and snacks, plus occasional batch‑cooking during nap times (e.g., a bolognese for the freezer)
- Planning and attending classes, groups and outings
- Encouraging outdoor play and social interaction with cousins who live nearby
- Maintaining his routine while adapting flexibly as needed
- Light nursery duties related to the child
Family Environment
The family home is relaxed, friendly and set up for active toddler play. They have a miniature dachshund who is vocal but gentle, so the nanny should be comfortable around dogs. A driver is essential due to the rural location and for attending classes and outings.
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced with toddlers and confident supporting different childcare approaches
- Energetic, engaging and happy to be outdoors in all weathers
- Organised, proactive and comfortable preparing meals
- Warm, patient and able to balance routine with flexibility
- Confident taking a toddler out and about, including to classes and activities
- Comfortable working in a home with a friendly dog
