Our friendly clients living just outside the village of Sellindge near Ashford, in a large detached property, are looking for an experienced, professional Live In Nanny to care for their baby daughter who is due to arrive at the end of June.

Mum and dad both commute to London for work; mum will be returning to work when their daughter is around 3 months old (in September).

Nanny will be required to care for the baby during the day for 5 days per week plus night duties as required. Mum and dad leave for work at 6am and return home at 7pm, however, if the successful candidate would prefer to start a little later in the mornings this could be discussed.

Your 2 days off per week will run from Friday evening to Sunday evening. You will be required to sign a Working Time Regulations 48 Hour Week Opt Out agreement.

Salary will be £30,000 gross per year plus pension. All bills and reasonable food bills will be included.


A self-contained nanny annexe with its own kitchen, large double bedroom with TV, a separate toilet and bathroom, own outside space (patio) and door leading directly into the Nursery.

Duties:  Care for our client’s baby daughter including normal nursery duties.

You will need to be a driver with a clean licence and your employer can purchase a car for the Nanny’s use if preferred. Use of your own car, if this is the case, whilst on duty will be remunerated at the rate of 45p per mile.

The family have a very friendly hypoallergenic cat.

As with all Mum’s The Word Kent placements, applicants will need at least 2 years’ professional experience, Enhanced DBS check, First Aid and at least two checkable references or contact details of at least two referees.
