Mums The Word Buckinghamshire
This lovely family, originally from London and currently based in Dubai, are looking for a caring and engaging nanny for their young son. (aged 1.5)
He is a bright, curious and sensitive little boy with lots of energy and a real love for music. He especially enjoys singing and dancing, and thrives in fun, interactive environments where he can be playful and expressive.
He is developmentally advanced for his age and has been attending pre-nursery since September 2025, in a class slightly above his age group. This means he is the youngest in his class, with most of his peers being a little older.
He can take a little time at first to observe and settle into new situations, but with warmth and consistency he quickly builds trust. Once comfortable, he becomes lively, playful and full of character.
At home, he is exposed to English, Mandarin and Shanghainese, and moves naturally between all three languages.
He is nearly fully potty trained, wearing nappies only at night. He has been in pants during the day for several months with very few accidents, and the family are continuing to gently support him in recognising when he needs to go.
He follows a well established daily routine. He wakes between 6:15am and 7:45am, has breakfast and gets ready for the day. Mornings are usually spent out and about, often at the park or a play centre, returning home late morning. After lunch, he typically naps for around two hours. Afternoons include some light home learning and more playtime, before dinner, bath and bedtime, usually asleep by 8pm.

The family would love to find someone warm, energetic and patient. Their son has recently experienced a lot of change with the family’s relocation, and will be adjusting to a new home, surroundings and extended family.
Both parents will be working full time, so they are looking for someone confident in sole charge, able to follow guidance but also use their initiative. Strong toddler experience is essential, along with a calm and reassuring approach.
They will be staying with grandparents in Farnham Common. The home is spacious, with a large garden and direct access to Burnham Beeches, which is ideal for outdoor play.
Slough, Burnham and Taplow stations are all within a short drive and are on the Elizabeth line.
Grandparents and extended family will be around during the day and happy to support where needed. The household also includes two friendly dogs, a miniature dachshund and a medium sized mixed breed.
