Oxfordshire
Maternity nanny required for a family who are expecting a baby by c-section on the 28th Oct, and are seeking help from ideally from 30th October onwards for approximately 1 month. They also have a 3 year old boy.
DAYS & HOURS
They are advertising last minute and can be somewhat flexible on all of the following depending on candidate’s availability – to be discussed.
Ideally, they would like someone available to come as early as possible e.g. 7am/8am start, every weekday and work full time e.g. 8 hours.
However, they will consider candidates that can only commit to part time hours or certain days.
They have an older family member living with them for the first few days after c-section (until 2nd Nov) – additional help in the first week would still be very useful, but most important is help from Monday 4th Nov onwards.
DUTIES
As mum is having a c-section – looking for help during daytime to allow mother and father catch up on rest, after caring overnight for newborn.
Typical duties would include:
– Taking sole charge of newborn for 2 hour periods, then bringing baby to mum for feeding.
– Help with nappy changes and sterilising bottles, cleaning and organising baby clothes.
– Looking after newborn to allow parents to spend time with older brother (aged 3) as he adjusts to new arrival.
– Occasionally helping with 3 year old. He attends childcare during the week, so this would only be in mornings for a short time, helping get him breakfast and get ready for preschool. He has no special needs and very quickly becomes comfortable with new friendly adult carers.
Non-driver OK. Parking available if required. If driving, then drops/collections of 3yo from pre-school would be very helpful, but not essential.
Some sole charge of newborn or 3y/o
