Oxfordshire
Nanny required for a family who arre new to the area, with their 1 year old baby boy.
He is a happy, curious and active baby who enjoys being outdoors, playing with balls, books and music, and exploring his surroundings. He is currently crawling and becoming increasingly mobile.
DAYS & HOURS
Monday–Thursday, approximately 8 hours per day (around 32 hours per week).
9am to 5pm.
They have some flexibility around exact start and finish times.
DUTIES
They are looking for a warm, caring, organised, pro-active and experienced nanny.
Both parents often work from home, so it is important that the nanny is comfortable with this arrangement and able to independently manage the baby’s day and routine whilst they are working.
The role would include preparing and giving him healthy meals and snacks, supporting his naps and daily routine, taking him outside for walks and to local parks, playgroups and age-appropriate activities, and providing engaging play and activities at home.
Keeping the baby’s areas, toys and belongings tidy and organised is important, as well as cleaning up after his meals and activities.
Their 13-year-old is at school and does not require childcare. If time allows and the baby’s needs have been taken care of, occasional help with simple food preparation for him or the household would be very welcome. However, care of the baby would always be the priority.
They live in Jericho, Oxford, with many parks, baby groups, libraries and activities within walking distance, so driving is not essential.
They do not have private parking available at the house, so the role would be particularly well suited to someone who is comfortable getting to them by public transport, bicycle or on foot.
They are looking for someone with strong experience caring for babies and young toddlers, excellent references, an enhanced DBS check and paediatric first-aid training.
