Oxfordshire

Nanny/house manager required for a warm & friendly family with a 2 year old girl,  who is a friendly, confident child, who loves the outdoors, walks, enjoys playgrounds, the library, books and games.

DAYS & HOURS

15-16 hours a week minimum.

Childcare hours will be four days after school (5-8 on two days, 5-6:30 on two days).

The remaining hours are flexible, when suits you best in the week, for ~8 hours of cooking and house management per week.

They would also additionally be interested in one morning/afternoon on the weekend if interested.

DUTIES

Help with nursery pickups, child care and some housekeeping (shopping, cooking and tidying) during the week, and possibly for some flexible hours on the weekend.

Both parents are academics, working at Oxford with busy work lives and travel.

They are looking for someone mature, kind, calm, sensible and with good judgement, who can support them.

They are both organised, structured people, who follow a laid back and loving parenting style.

*The duties include 8 hours of cooking and house management per week.

They also have a cleaner Monday and Wednesday for 6 hours total, who you would manage and purchase materials for.

*Online shopping and meal planning, cook 2 meals, sorting laundry, tidy on Friday when cleaner isn’t there.

This would be a new role and we’re open to working out these aspects together.

• Pick-up from nursery (10-minute bike ride from our house), followed by

• Evening care includes playtime and dinner on early days, with bath and bedtime on other days.

• Ideally 2–4 hours childcare one day each weekend, by prior arrangement

• Ideally flexible to stay over roughly one night a month, with long prior warning, if parents face travel clashes.

The nursery is in an area in central Oxford, without parking.

They have a bike trailer, they use to take her to nursery, and leave it there. It attaches with a simple attachment. So it would be ideal if you were a confident cyclist and could use the trailer for pickups attached to their bike (their current nanny does this fine).

Otherwise they do have parking at the house, but you would have to walk 20 min or so to the nursery and back again.

The trailer does turn into a buggy, so you could use that, our take one of their buggies.
