Mother’s Help / Nanny required to start asap
Location: Chigwell, Essex (IG7 postcode)
Rate of Pay: £17-£18ph (gross)
Hours: 25-30 hours per week.
Start Date: ASAP
Times of Work Options: 4 x weekday evenings (3.45pm – 7.45pm) plus at least one weekend day, probably starting after lunch on Saturday and going into the evening. Or alternatively, could be two blocks of hours split across two weekend days with two clear days midweek.
Role Context: This role is for a family with 3 children, aged 4 (boy), 7 (girl) and 8 (boy). The children are interested in reading, time outdoors, games, computers, craft, and generally enjoy the company of anyone with enthusiasm and energy.
Duties:
The children’s father is a Headmaster and the family are looking for someone who can help to relieve the pressure of midweek evenings (homework, bedtimes etc) since there are many evenings when one or other of the parents are out.
They would also like a few hours at the weekend. Midweek will be based in the house and at the weekend, a walk in the local area, leaving from the house on foot, may be one use of the time. There is no expectation to drive with the children in the car, though having a car will probably be needed since their location is not hugely easy to reach by public transport.
The role is mostly supporting one parent, but some sole charge would be helpful.
Living Arrangements: Live out preferable but live in possible.
The family have previously hosted an au pair and have a room with a bathroom, which is shared with the children. It is essentially 90% private since they have a sink in their room and generally use the parents’ en-suite shower.
