Temporary Part Time Evening Nanny Required in Ifield West Sussex R:1887

This lovely family who have been working with MTW Sussex for a while are looking for a Temporary Part Time Nanny to cover evening shifts while the parent is at work. This role is different in that the Nanny will be working some evenings a week but on different days each week, depending on the clients shift pattern.  The Nanny will be caring for two Girls aged 10 and 3 years and a Boy of 4 years old. This will be a sole charge position. We have a nanny in place covering some shifts so we are now looking for another candidate who can cover other shifts.

Someone with experience in working with children who are on the Autistic spectrum is desirable but not essential.

This is working for an emergency worker, so reliability is essential.


Cooking an evening meal for the children

Preparing a lunch box for the children for school the next day (if there is school)

Bath and bedtime routines for all 3 children

Feeding the Cockapoo family dog (no walking involved)

Tidying up the kitchen and area’s after you have used them, washing dishes etc.

Days and Hours

5pm to midnight – you will be paid the full 7 hours if the parent returns homes early and you can leave after the handover.

Rota dates can be given 3 months in advance for the Candidate.


£16 per hour gross – negotiable for the right candidate

April dates – 19th and 23rd.

May dates – 14th, 19th, 24th, 25th and 31st.

Most shifts will mainly be a Tuesday and Friday and some Saturdays.

We will have various dates available for all of 2024. There is the option of up to 12 shifts per month.

Additional Information

Experience in working with children who are on the Autistic spectrum is desirable but not essential.

As with all Mums the Word placements our candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children, an Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid certificates and at least 2 contactable references.
