Afternoon Nanny required for a family based in Petworth, West Sussex R1207
A family new to Mums the Word are looking for a nanny to work afternoons caring for a girl aged 3 years and a boy aged 21 months old. Sole charge role and there is the flexibility for additional hours during school holidays if the candidate would like more hours.
The family are looking for a warm, organised and proactive nanny who would become a trusted and valued part of their family life.
Duties
Nursery pickups
Some nursery duties
Light household chores relating to the children
Meal prep for the children and feeding them the evening meal.
Playing with and entertaining the children
Some bath time routine required.
Days and Hours
Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 6pm – the family can also offer Fridays with the same hours if the candidate is happy to work a Friday afternoon.
** There can be additional hours offered during school holidays**
Start Date
Mid April 2026 – happy to wait for the right candidate
Salary
£20 – £22 per hour gross and negotiable for the right candidate
Additional Information
Driver with own car – work mileage paid at 0.45p per mile
Pet friendly as there is a cat in the family home – there is also a dog but the dog will be away during the week.

As with all Mums the Word placements our candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children, an Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid certificates and at least 2 contactable references.
