Permanent Nanny, based in Stockbridge R:9226

A lovely family are looking for a Permanent Nanny for their family of two children Boy 10 years and Girl 7 years old. This is a daily and sole charge role. There is an option for some additional hours during term time which will be paid extra (plus babysitting). This client is happy to pay for 35 hours per week which will be pro-rata and covers the additional hours during the school holidays (happy to explain this in more detail).

Duties

Term time – 

School pick ups

Giving them an evening meal (prep and cook)

Supporting homework/piano practice

Supporting shower/teeth cleaning routine

Menu planning and shopping list

Sorting school uniform and bags ready for the next day

Booking dentist and hair appointments

Changing the children’s bedding weekly

Ad hoc household support – folding laundry, running errands (post office/dry cleaning) etc.

School Holidays (including half terms)

Playing with and entertaining the children

Taking to activities and arranging playdates

Arts and crafts/baking (having fun)

Some childcare duties (laundry/cooking and bed making for the children).

Hours and Days

Monday to Friday

Term time

3pm to 7.30pm daily – there will be options for some additional hours if happy to work them (paid separately)

School holidays (including half terms)

7am to 7.30pm daily

Start Date

Tuesday 26th August 2025 – the family are happy to wait for the right candidate.

Salary

£16 – £18 per hour gross – negotiable depending on experience.

Driver required – with own car – mileage paid at 0.45p per mile (all mileage with the children)

No pets

Employed role – this will be paid at 35 hours per week every month as will be pro rata to cover additional hours during the school holidays. The candidate will be paid monthly.

As with all Mums the Word placements our candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience working with children, an Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid certificates and at least 2 contactable references.
