A returning client, soon relocating to the UK, is seeking an experienced and proactive nanny to care for their two young sons, who will be 4 years and 18 months old at the start of the role.

They need support four days a week, Monday – Thursday, from approximately 8 – 5.30 pm (the exact hours will be discussed during the interview process). Some flexibility with staying until 7 pm is needed; the family will give advanced notice.

Role Overview
This is a sole charge position requiring a confident and capable nanny with previous experience caring for children aged 0–4. The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, and nurturing, with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent timekeeping, and the ability to take initiative without needing direction.

Key Qualities
The family is looking for a nanny who is:

Fun, creative, and engaging
Kind, fair, firm when needed, and emotionally intelligent
Comfortable with open and direct communication
Flexible, reliable, and always punctual
Someone happy to limit screen time
Happy to be outdoors in all weather conditions.

The family will be new to the area, so someone familiar with local activities, classes, and fun places to take the children is ideal. A nanny who genuinely wants to build strong relationships with the children.

The family

The four-year-old is energetic, talkative, and thrives in outdoor play. He will attend a local preschool from Tuesday – Thursday from 9.15 – 2 pm and will start school in September 2026. Sole care of both children

Interviews and commitment
Initial interviews will be conducted via video call, with successful candidates invited for trial days. Trial days might be in the UK or potentially in Amsterdam (the family will cover costs). The family will aim to arrange a handover period with their current nanny.

A minimum six-month commitment is required, with the strong possibility of extension.
