We are a kind, friendly, and respectful family looking for a live-in domestic couple to help us manage our home and support our three boys, aged 4, 7 and 9. We live in a  beautiful renovated farmhouse with extensive gardens near Burford, surrounded by beautiful countryside walks — perfect for those who love the outdoors. And if you have a dog, they’re very welcome too.

What We Offer

  • Use of a family car for work purposes (you’ll need your own car for personal use).
  • Competitive salary in the range of £80,000–£90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

The family will be in residence for a maximum of eight months of the year, ensuring you have periods of quieter household management.

Housekeeping & Family Support

  • Full housekeeping, including tidying, cleaning, laundry, and ironing
  • Household organisation and maintenance
  • Cooking for the children and some meal prep for the family
  • Running errands, food shopping, and managing household supplies
  • Helping with the children before and after school (breakfasts, tea, bathtime)
  • Organising uniforms and after-school/extracurricular needs
  • Babysitting, with occasional overnight proxy parenting

 Grounds, Driving & Maintenance

  • Driving duties: school run, airport pick-ups, and occasional evening events
  • Car cleaning and upkeep
  • Assisting the gardener with lawn mowing and garden care
  • General house and garden maintenance
  • Pool and barn upkeep
  • Window cleaning (where safely accessible)
  • Running errands and overseeing household security

 About You

This role would suit a capable, proactive couple who enjoy working together, take pride in their work and love countryside living. Reliability, flexibility, and a positive, family-focused outlook are essential, as is a strong respect for confidentiality and privacy, which are of great importance to our family. Cooking would be a bonus but not essential.
