Experienced Nanny Required – Herne Hill/Brixton (March 2026 start)
They are a warm, busy family soon to be based in Herne Hill/Brixton area looking for an experienced, creative nanny to join them, as they prepare to welcome their second child.

They have a bright, affectionate 3.5-year-old daughter, and a new baby due at the end of February. Both parents will be on leave initially, and see this as an ideal opportunity to build a strong, collaborative relationship with the right nanny over time.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of a family, is confident working alongside parents, and values creativity, routine, and emotional warmth in childcare.

The Role
Start: Mid–late March 2026 (flexible)

Hours (indicative):

Monday–Thursday: 8am–5pm
Friday: 8am–1pm
Hours will initially be part-time while they settle, increasing to full-time from April. Occasional evening or weekend babysitting would be a bonus and can be offset with time in lieu. They are looking for flexibility on both sides.

About their Daughter
Their daughter has been attending a creative pre-school and enjoys imaginative play, books, crafts, music, and being outdoors. She will be leaving behind a familiar setting and friends, so are keen to find a nanny who can help her transition with confidence and joy.

She will start school in September 2026. In the meantime, they expect lots of park time, local activities, playdates, and gentle structure. They are exploring nurseries in the Dulwich/Herne Hill area and may choose a few days a week later on.

About the Baby
Care will initially focus on supporting the family while both parents are home. Over time, as mum returns to work (around June), the role will naturally evolve to include more baby care alongside support for their daughter (and eventually school drops and pickups)

Trust, communication, and shared values will be key here.

What They are Looking For
They would love to find someone who is:

Experienced and confident with both toddlers and babies
Fun, creative, and emotionally attuned
Calm, reliable, and trustworthy
Happy working in partnership with parents
Conscious about healthy food and routines
Flexible and adaptable as family needs evolve
They value warmth and initiative, but are very hands-on parents and want someone comfortable with collaboration rather than total autonomy.

Household Support
In addition to childcare, they would appreciate help with household tasks related to the children (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, meal prep). They are looking for someone who naturally helps keep things running smoothly.

Salary
£18–£20 gross per hour, depending on experience.

The Right Fit
Above all, they are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term relationship with the family – someone who brings positivity, structure, and care, and who enjoys growing with a family through an important stage of life.
