Family PA/helper and after school nanny to teenagers, 13 Yr girl and 16 Yr boy.
DAYS & HOURS
Term time
2 or 3pm to 8pm Monday – Friday. Sometimes Fridays would be less.
With advanced planning flexibility to occasionally stay overnight in the house with the children (teenagers)
School holidays
They will need help during school holidays too, if they are not traveling (both parents working), though potentially different hours and tasks than during school time.
No help required over the Christmas holidays, but half terms and Easter break assume similar hours or modestly reduced.
DUTIES
The family are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic family PA and after school Nanny. Their teenage children compete in high level sports, that require a lot of planning and logistics.
They also require help with home related personal assistant tasks (not including cleaning, they employ a housekeeper) as both parents are working. The ideal candidate is someone who is organised, loves a challenge and wants to grow into a role with many opportunities.
A love of animals especially dogs and horses is essential. Essentially the role is for someone to help keep the household running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Coordination of teenage children school bus pick up in the afternoon and bringing them to local activities.
Taking the daughter to the equestrian yard.
Walking and feeding the dogs. They have 2 dogs – a white husky and a golden retriever, both girls.
*They also have 2 horses – a cob and an Irish sport horse, both geldings All 4 very human friendly!
Running errands for the family.
Managing special projects when required.
Coordinating with other staff (cleaner, gardeners, general contractor).
Occasional cooking.
Requirements
Proven experience in childcare roles such as nannying or babysitting.
Strong interpersonal skills and overall a caring person.
Organised and efficient with a willingness to enjoy new challenges.
Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours and/or stay overnight in the house with teenage children (scheduled well in advance, if it fits with your schedule)
Will need to be a driver with own car.
Sole charge.
